Aurora

May 18, 2024

Tonight,
the dawn dazzled my being,
As the firmament embraced the evening lights.
In my mind, you appeared,
I wondered what you were doing at that moment.
You, who longed to contemplate the night like this,
Radiant, full of shades and hues.
Red, like your burning passion,
Green, like your constant obstinacy,
Violet, like your unique essence.

The colors of the sky shimmer,
And in their radiance, my heart plunged in nostalgia.
Though my heart loves you differently now
Your memory still dances in my thoughts.
I wonder what you are doing at this moment,
You, who once embraced the sky with light and colour.
Perhaps you are now shining down unknown paths,
Or maybe you seek refuge on another hemisphere.
Though the echo of your laughter fades in the mist of the night,
A part of me still clings to your light,
For despite fading from the blinding night
I can’t help but wonder what you’re after now.
